Olaplex – frequently asked questions
What is a class action lawsuit?
A class action is a legal proceeding that allows one person to act on behalf of a group of people with identical or similar legal claims. A person called the “class representative” acts on behalf of all members of the class in court. This avoids each member having to file an individual lawsuit: the court handles the case in a single proceeding for all concerned members.
Who is covered by this class action?
You are a Settlement Class Member if you meet the following criteria:
✓ Youpurchased at least one (1) bottle of Olaplex’s No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector;
✓ From the Defendants;
✓ Between March 1, 2019, and August 31, 2022;
✓ You provided a billing address in the province of Quebec at the time of that purchase.
What should I do if I want to be part of this class action?
You are automatically included in this class action if you meet the criteria to be a Settlement Class Member.
How can I be sure that I am part of this class action?
An email was sent to you on October 14, 2025, informing you that you had been identified as a Settlement Class Member and may be entitled to compensation.
If you did not receive this email, you can contact us at 450-969-9926 or 1-844-967-3705 to verify whether or not you are part of this class action.
You can also send us an email at the following address:

What does the compensation consist of?
Under this settlement, the Defendants will offer each Settlement Class Member a choice between two forms of compensation:
1) A free product: A 100 ml bottle of Olaplex No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector shipped to their last known home address;
This is the default form of compensation.
OR
2) A $20.00 Interac e-Transfer.
How can I choose the compensation I want to receive?
On January 13, 2026, you received an email containing a secure clickable link to:
✓ Update your information (address, email, etc.);
✓ Elect to receive a $20.00 Interac e-transfer instead of a free product.
We invite you to click on this secure link to update your information and choose to receive an Interac e-transfer.
You can also send us an email at soincheveux@proactio.ca:
1) The Product Distribution Form (Schedule E), if you wish to update your residential address to receive a free product.
OR
2) The E-Transfer Distribution Form (Appendix F), if you wish to receive an Interac e-transfer as compensation.
Is there a deadline by which I must choose to receive the Interac e-transfer?
Yes, you must submit a request to receive the Interac e-Transfer by February 27, 2026.
What happens if I do nothing?
If you are a Settlement Class Member, you will automatically receive a free product at your residential address known to the Defendants, unless you elect to receive an Interac e-transfer.
When will I receive my compensation?
The period to update your information and elect to receive an Interac e-Transfer instead of the free product lasts 45 days, beginning on January 13, 2026, and ending on February 27, 2026.
After this period ends, distribution of Interac e-Transfers and free products will begin.
Free products will be shipped and electronic transfers will be sent within 60 days of the end date of the period during which you could make your compensation selection to receive the Interac e-Transfer.
Each Settlement Class Member will receive a single compensation payment, and no other compensation will be offered.
