During her 20 years with the firm, she has always shown a keen interest in diversifying her practice, having moved from auditing to insolvency and business turnaround. More recently, she has also carried out several administration mandates for class actions. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a graduate diploma in accounting. She is also a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP), and is accredited as a licensed trustee in insolvency.

Gabrielle Gagné

Gabrielle always makes sure to use clear language and believes that the law should be accessible to everyone. She appreciates clarity and simplicity in her exchanges. This is what prompted her to learn Italian during an internship in Rome.

She thrives when she can touch multiple areas of expertise in the course of her day. She likes it when experts from completely different disciplines have to think outside the box to understand each other and build a common project.

Gabrielle has practised as a lawyer managing class actions for over 10 years, and has been involved in a number of high-profile cases, such as the action against the Quebec tobacco industry. As part of her practice, she has developed a specialization in the design of claims and distribution processes, database development and clear communications.

She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in January 2012 and holds a Master of Laws in Common Law and Transnational Law (LL.M.) and a Master of Science in Molecular Biotechnology and Law (M.B.M.D.).

Marianne Dagenais-Lespérance

Marianne's innovative spirit and ability to bring new perspectives to complex challenges are invaluable in all the projects she is involved in. Naturally curious, Marianne continually seeks out new sources of learning. Whether creating a database or renovating her own home, she thrives in unfamiliar contexts.

Marianne began her academic path at UQÀM, where she studied law. She went on to complete a Master's degree (LL.M.) in Human Rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science, before finishing a certificate at Cambridge University on the transition to carbon neutrality. Marianne worked for several years in The Hague, consulting on human rights for companies and humanitarian law for various European governments.

On her return to Canada, she became interested in criminal law, before specializing in class actions. Drawing on her experience, Marianne has distinguished herself through her creative approach to a wide range of class actions, and has overseen complex individual distribution processes.

Fanny Chouinard

Recognized for her ability to find solutions, Fanny integrates innovative technological products to optimize time, energy and resources in Proactio's mandates. Always on the lookout for the latest in information technology, her involvement brings business intelligence to the class actions process.

After earning a graduate degree in technology law, she joined the firm in 2015. A lawyer and licensed insolvency trustee by training, Fanny enjoys numbers, human contact and problem solving.

Lucie Medeiros

Lucie is a true asset to Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, with 40 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the firm's operations. She began her career in the courier business, but her hard work has enabled her to quickly climb the corporate ladder.

Known for her thoroughness and cooperation, she has a thorough understanding of finances and negotiates the most advantageous agreements with financial institutions. Lucie is responsible for managing hundreds of trust accounts related to the files of the Recovery and Insolvency group, and ensures their compliance with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. She keeps the purse strings tight.

Marie Pierristil

When she was younger, Marie worked in call centers to finance her studies, where she quickly discovered her passion. When she finished her Bachelor's degree in Sociology, she discovered a quote from Confucius that changed her life: "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life." So she chose to develop her customer service skills.

Over the years, she has evolved as an agent, coordinator, team leader, trainer, supervisor and then director. In November 2016, she joined the Impo subsidiary of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton to build the call center. A challenge she met with flying colors. She is recognized by her peers for her excellent work. Her main qualities are a sense of responsibility and communication. Thanks to her leadership, she trains and builds a dedicated team that goes beyond the expectations of the clients.

Today, Marie's motivation for joining the Proactio family is to be part of the process of helping a claimant obtain the compensation to which they are entitled. She sees every challenge as an opportunity to learn new skills.
